Liturgy in the Catholic Church is changing. This change that is being led by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops is comprehensive and affects us all. As music ministers in the Catholic Church, we must be ready to both embrace and implement these changes in a manner that will provide a smooth transition for our parishes in the next few years. We will only be able to accomplish this by staying informed and educated on musical issues and opportunities related to the liturgy.
Over the next few months, the National Black Catholic Congress will provide on its website a resource for music ministers in the Catholic Church with special emphasis on the music of Black Catholics. This resource will include:
